    2022 - 2023, semester 1

For this course, I had to create a web application with a corresponding API. I was free in choosing the subject, but a dataset had to be available. This dataset formed the base for the application.

I chose to make an application about parking in Amsterdam. The application retrieves the data from an API of the Municipality of Amsterdam. By using Leaflet, the map is loaded and it displays the areas on the map.

    Project Information Design

    2022 - 2023, semester 1

For this course, I worked in a group and with a client. Our client was SOMO, an organisation that does research on multinationals and the effect of their activities on humans and the environment. They did research to tax fraud in Mozambique and wrote a report about it. They wanted a website alongside the report, to make the report available to the public. The goal of the website is to give anyone who wants it access to the report, and making the website in a certain way to make sure that everyone understands the content.

Together with my group, we made a website that goes through the report step by step. First, we explain a few of the theoretical terms so everyone understands what they mean. Then, we show numbers and statistics from the report using visualisations. In the end, we give a conclusion and explain what users can do to help fight the problem.

    Frontend Development 1

    2021 - 2022, semester 1

For this course, I had the sample an existing website. I chose to remake a website that somewhat has meaning for me. Thats how I ended up doing the website for PLUS Supermarkt, because I have been working there in one of the distribution centers for more than three years.

I have developed a second page in addition to the homepage, because I wanted to try and show more aspects of the website. I chose one of the categories under "Ons assortiment" (candy, cake, chips, pretzels, nuts). I chose this category specifically, because the menu containing all the categories first has to be expanded further. So, there are more and more aspects which I have to process and by doing so I will learn a lot from it.

The website PLUS Supermarkt has been changed over time and so my website does not look as similar to it as it used to. Feel free to take a look at my GitHub Repository which I made at the time. This contains the sketches on which my website is based.

    Introduction to Programming

    2020 - 2021, semester 2

For this course I had to make my own tamagotchi. I've chosen to do it a little more extensively than the standard animal that you give food and water. My "game" revolves around following the given order to make a nice ice cream. If the order is not correct, the ice cream will let you know by looking sad. If the order is correct, you can proceed to the next order.

    Internet standards

    2020 - 2021, semester 1

"Submit a website, which consists of 4 html files and one css file, which you have made yourself with a code editor, without using frameworks, and which is built as you have learned in this course."

For this course I first had to make some assignments. After this, the final assignment was to make a website yourself. It doesn't matter what the theme is, as long as it meets the requirements.
